In other news, I finally feel like things aren't tumbling down on me. Costumes are out, the house is almost stage-able (we had our first prospective buyers go through tonight) and I can finally get back to a normal non-chaotic pace of life. I'll have to post pictures of the new set up tomorrow when I can get pictures with better lighting. It's funny how you fix things up so much just to sell it. I'll for sure fix up my next place right when we get it so we can reap the benefits of our hard work.

Sorry I'm A Little Fried

So I definitely took way more costume orders than I should of, but they're all out thanks to the constant help of my family. But next year I will definitely put a number of costumes cap instead of a date cap because seriously for the last month and a half I've been mostly sewing/packing/responding to messages. And for the last 2 weeks I literally have done only that and a few times make dinner staying up to 2 am and 3 am every night with my mom and sis and mil helping me for hours during the day and night. Way too much.

On top of that we decided to sell our house now since it's the type of place home buyers would want and there are more looking because of the government rebate. So seriously I went straight from order filling to fixing the house to make it sell (after we bought it we realized they had done a crap job fixing things so lots of things fell apart and it's super dated).

So I'm super tired. But I keep on telling myself this level of hard work should be over this week, I hope. And there is a house I absolutely love and want it's perfect. I could have a great big work room for all my stuff that also would fit the music makers stuff and have plenty of room for kiddos to be right there with us. We're trying to put an offer on that, send us your good vibes.

Anyways that's why my posting here has been on the weak side. Hopefully I"ll regain my energy and sanity soon.

Show and Tell: Doraemon Costume aka the cutest thing I've ever made

Move over french fries, my new favorite creation is now this custom ordered Doraemon outfit. I just love it blah! And it sparked this need to make hats so as soon as I finish the last minute rush order costumes I'll for sure be making (and giving away) some fun hats. I've got a few other custom costume orders to share with you guys. My What's for Dinner post will have to wait for later, I was just too excited about Doraemon.

Costume Rush

just wanted to say a quick hi. I'm still in the middle of finishing up my costumes orders but happily sent off this first large batch yesterday. I packed them up at a MacDondald's playgroud table while Tira happily played dispite some imaginative girl telling every one not to go up the slide because there was a ghost that scratches people. Ummm yeah, we later found out that there was an actual girl scratching kids and is typical her parent was totally oblivious to the fact that some of the moms were crawling up the slides to tell her to knock it off. Yeah.

Okay I must get back to the Dorothys now but I want to let you know that I will be opening a fabric giveaway tomorrow and I'm happy to announce there will be a handful of ready to ship costumes but I won't get to listing them until this weekend (after the final shipments).

What's for Dinner: Week 8

This chicken will be my best friend this week as I finish up all the Halloween costumes (except for the rush orders and the ones for Tira and Lanna). I plan to buy one and make it work for me all week, that and a big box of salad from costco as well, it's like 3$ for really great greens, seriously you can't beat that.

Monday: Chicken Quarters with Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, maybe some non-salad veg
Tuesday: Curry Coconut Lentil Soup (maybe feeding the fam) I'll use half a breast
Wednesday: Chinese Chicken Salad, use the other breast
Thursday: Pizza (probably throw the wings onto the pizza with other randoms from the freezer)
Friday: Sour Cream Chicken empanadas, use the other half of the breast
Saturday: eat out, everything should be in the mail
Sunday: Campanelli

You think I can stretch the chicken that far? What other rotisserie chicken ideas do you guys have for me if I wanna nix one of those or for future chicken weeks?

Show and Tell: Flower Girl Dresses

This weekend Tira was a flower girl, apparently she walked down the isle all by her 2 year old self! I made these little dresses for the girls, I'm not quite sure why I needed to make Lanna a dress but my mom told me to and really I can't say no to making those two naughtys anything. Anyways I posted more pictures over yonder at my flickr (including a really cute sister love one) and I've got little sizes and big sizes listed in the shop if anyone wants one (any color by the way) for the holidays or other special occasion.

Okay back to my costume frenzy.

Crazy Milestone: 1000 Sales

Um hi, I'm blown away, tonight I surpased the 1,000 sale mark on Etsy. Blah how rediculously crazy is that. How could I have possibly have sewn 1,000 things (well will sew since many of those are Halloween costumes). But yeah. Thank you all so so much whether you've purchases stuff and you're 1 or a few of my 1,000, told someone about RaeGun, encourage me here on my blog or are a real world friend and given me your sweat and love!

Ways I'll be celebrating:
1. I'm extending my Halloween cut off, but just ONE day. On Saturday I'll be adding a mighty hefty rush fee to all of the costumes.
2. I'll think of an awesome super cool best ever giveaway to do (ummm maybe after these costumes get finished though)
3. I will find some fabulous thing on etsy and buy it for myself.
